From the photographer
A year along the coast
Every calendar here starts the same way: on the coast, early, waiting for the light. The Coastal and Mystic River calendars come from the New England harbors and rivers I know best. The Lighthouses calendar captures the familiar landmarks that have guided mariners along the New England coast for generations. The Seagulls calendar is a quieter study of the birds that are part of everyday life along the working coast.
The two Greenland calendars come from further afield, from the icebergs of Disko Bay and the town of Qeqertarsuaq. It’s a different coast, but I photographed it the same way. They make thoughtful gifts for sailors, sea lovers, and anyone drawn to the coast.
